Hi! I’m Gré. This is my third and final year on the Teen Arts Council. I enjoy knitting, drawing painting, sewing, and cosplaying. Right now, I’ve stumbled my way into student directing the play at my school. In my free time, I enjoy biking, planning events to teens, and watching Doctor Who.  

Hi hi! I’m Sarah and this is my third year on the council, and I am a senior at Lee Summit High School. I love art, wrestling, theatre, and thrifting. My favorite artist is Haley Williams, and I love butterflies. I am most excited to spend my final year on the council with other like-minded individuals to serve out KC metro community!

Hi! I’m Zoe, this is my second year on the Teen Arts Council and I’m currently a junior at Park Hill South High School. I enjoy playing tennis and have a 1000 day streak on Duolingo, and I have a dog named Percy. I am super excited to continue to share my love of art museums with the rest of the council and teens in the Kansas City area. 

Hi! I’m Maeryn, and I’m a sophomore at Plaza Academy High School. I’m running for student council president this year. I’m co-leader of the art and social media teams for We The Youth (a youth-led organization my friend founded). In my free time, I like sewing, reading, watching movies, listening to music, and drawing.

Hello! My name is Cyan. This is my first year with the teen arts council and I’m so excited to see how we can connect with the youth of KC! I love art and am on a mission to try every single medium I physically can before I get out of college, even when I crash or am crippled by DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness), mountain biking, and power lifting are my passions. So excited to see what we’ll do.  

Hello, I’m Coco! I’m a junior at Lincoln College Prep. I’m a big art fan, anime nerd, and bird lover. My chickens are pretty cute, ask me about them. I like to make art studying emotion through starkness or contrast. I love writing, especially when it is exceptionally weird, and especially about women. My favorite color is blue. My favorite song changes once a week. Right now, it is Center by Sir Chloe.  

Hi! I’m Cam and I am a theatre kid who is passionate about costuming, cosplay, and photography. I also enjoy writing music and musicals. This is my first year at Kemper and I am excited to be here. I live on a farm with my adorable animals and they boost my passion for animal wellness and activism. I am above all else a creative who loves the arts and I am happy to be able to be here. 

Hello! My name is Elia and this is my first year on the Teen Arts Council. I am a freshman at Lincoln College Prep. I enjoy drawing, crochet, and I am learning how to sew. I also like reading; I’m in the middle of A People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn. I am always open to recommendations. I am looking forward to learning more about the arts community and how museums are run. 

Hi! I’m Maddie, and this is my first year on the Kemper Teen Arts Council. When I’m not in the museum, you’ll most likely find me drawing, painting, writing, or thrifting for something special at the River Market. I’m so grateful to be on this staff and I cannot wait for this year. <3 

Hello! My name is Zara. I enjoy spending time outside, doing henna designs, painting, and horseback riding. It’s my first year on the Teen Arts Council and I’m very happy to be here! I’m passionate about food waste, zoology, language, and West African history. I don’t have a favorite color but I love colorful things like flowers. Another fun fact about me is that my name means blooming flower, so I like to say I’ll bloom wherever you put me.  

Hi! My name is Ryan! I’m really excited for this year and to meet so many new people (and artists). I love Pokemon, eating new foods, and reading. I’m excited to explore performance and poetry. 

My name is Lola! My absolute favorite color is pink and it has been that way since I was a little girl. I very much enjoy singing, reading, writing, and shopping, and doing theater. I also love being involved at my school in clubs, sports, and other programs. In the future, my hope is to be a lawyer because I am very passionate about restorative justice and breaking negative cycles in our justice system. I’d describe myself as a very bubbly, fun, energetic person, but I can often be shy around new people. My hope for this program is to learn more about different art mediums and make new friends.
